Ross and Angus come to find Macbeth, and tell him that the King has given him the title of Thane of Cawdor. Duncan greets Lady Macbeth, who returns the formality and assures her loyalty. Banquo makes a revelation about the wrongdoing he suspects Macbeth committed to win the title of King.
Young Siward — the son of Siward who follows his father to fight against Macbeth in Scotland; he is killed in battle. He runs out shouting and wakes everybody up. Macbeth says his wife needs to remember that, too, and that they need to flatter Banquo to cover up for their dark plans.
He sounds much logical and true here. The scouts will think there are less of them. Macbeth orders Macduff's castle to be seized. Why would Macbeth murder king Duncan. However, her expression of despair and regret is unexpected by the reader.
Scene 3 Line The quote is said by Malcolm as he gives Macduff a way to cope with the loss of his family. One theory about where this superstition came from is that the play deals with witchcraft.
Since the play would have been performed in broad daylight, the "torch" would be used as a prop to suggest that it was night. Shakespeare calls attention to the weapon by having Banquo give it to his son and then take it back from the boy when he sees figures approaching in the darkness.
The three witches's spell emphasizes the play's theme of inversion. They both agree it is not safe there and depart. Norway and the rebel Thane of Cawdor were met by Macbeth and were defeated. He says that in life we are all actors and no matter what one might achieve in their life, they eventually end up dead like everybody else.
He leaves to kill Duncan.
The English forces, coupled with the Scottish rebels, attack the mad king and the pitiful forces that still support him.
Lennox tells Macbeth than Lennox has gone to England. He wonders then where Macduff is. Banquo says they should reassemble to investigate the matter. He just says this to deceive the Servant.
This is a weak explanation. He then sees the witches, that say he will be king of Cawdor. He pretends to be the porter of the gate of helland takes a long time to open the gate for Macduff and Lennox.
Lady Macbeth decides that Duncan will be killed while staying there. Then suddenly Macbeth arrives and asks them to tell him some more prophecies. He knows it is not real, but before his sight it changes and becomes covered in blood.
Macduff - The Hero in Macbeth Some people are just meant to be heroes. In this wonderful play by Shakespeare Macduff is a good choice and born to be a hero. Throughout Macbeth there are several examples of Macduffs heroism and bravery.
Macduff is a loving, caring man of action, Thane of Fife and a Scottish nobleman hostile to Macbeth's kingship. • Macbeth and Banquo treat the whole thing as a joke -- until Lennox and Ross arrive with news that the King has named Macbeth Thane of Cawdor.
Then murder is discovered when the drunken Porter at Macbeth’s castle gate answers the knocking to find Macduff and Lennox there. Macduff has come to. Macbeth is crowned King and, fearing the the third prophecy (Banquo’s sons will be kings), orders the murders of Banquo and his son, Fleance.
Banquo is killed, but Fleance escapes. Banquo’s ghost appears to Macbeth at a royal banquet. Macduff will use his sword for the noble cause of avenging his fallen family, while Macbeth’s use of daggers was to fulfill his selfish desires.
2. Scene 1 (Line ) After viewing the witches’ apparitions, in an aside Macbeth states that from how on he will act solely on impulse. Macbeth is a Shakespearean tragedy following the story of Macbeth, a noble Scottish warrior who turns into a murderous usurper due to the manipulation of three witches, and heroic antagonists Malcolm and Macduff lead a resistance against him.
There is also a final scene where Donalbain goes to. Macduff is a thane, and unlike Macbeth and Banquo, his first priority is the good of Scotland. Macduff’s selflessness, love, and pride for his country are what make him to be the hero of the play.
